Bonds Ellis Eppich Schafer Jones LLP is pleased to annouce that Clay M. Taylor has joined the firm. Mr. Taylor was born and raised in Texas and has deep ties to Tarrant County. He has spent the past 12 years at Kelly Hart & Hallman where he was a partner in their bankruptcy section.
The addition of Mr. Taylor adds to our already deep bench of insolvency professionals. His experience crosses a wide range of commercial bankruptcies and out of court restructurings. He represents commercial debtors, official committees of unsecured creditors, Chapter 11 Trustees, Liquidating Trustees, equity stake-holders and other parties-in-interest in both restructuring and bankruptcy. In doing so, he has developed extensive litigation and trial experience in both federal and state court litigation and contests related to creditor/debtor disputes, financial services litigation and commercial litigation. Mr. Taylor’s restructuring work has exposed him to a variety of industries and sectors from retail, manufacturing, banking, real estate, aviation, construction and both passive oil and gas holding companies to active oil and gas energy production companies, pipeline companies and the associated oil and gas/pipeline servicing companies. In particular, Mr. Taylor’s nationwide representation of several E&P and pipeline companies has allowed him the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the intersection of bankruptcy and the energy industry.
Mr. Taylor also helps clients restructure various financings and/or equity structures and selling off or acquiring various assets and business lines and/or businesses. He aids his clients in the evaluation of the alternatives, the due diligence required to further explore those alternatives and helps negotiate and document the transactions, financings, restructurings and asset, equity sales that each unique legal and business scenario necessitated.
